Spring Break Pioneer Camp
Join us for Pioneer Fun at the Multicultural Heritage Centre, Stony Plain.
We will explore the life of early pioneers with games, crafts and adventures. We will spend time in the settlers kitchen baking treats on our wood stove, participate in the many chores needed to keep the homestead happy and relax with some ridiculous outdoor fun.
We will create traditional toys and treats, partake of a picnic at a local park and unwind with a movie on Thursday.
The program starts at 9.00 am and ends at 4.00 pm. We have early drop of from 8.00 am and last pickup is at 5.30 pm.
Your camper should bring along a bag lunch and two snacks, weather appropriate clothing and indoor shoes. The Pie Shoppe can be found in the museum basement and a lunch package can be purchased directly.
If your camper is utilising the early drop off or late pick they will be supervised in the gym and have access to sports equipment. If they would like to bring along reading material they are encouraged to do so. As this is a pioneer camp with a lack of power, electronics should be left safely at home.
